Nejib Ghanmi

Born in Tunis in 1979, Nejib Ghanmi works in oils. He studied design in Lancaster and later at Kingston University in London.

His paintings return to people and places that have shaped his life: a meeting in Lancaster, his grandmother’s courtyard in Béja, an evening with friends, a journey with his wife.

Alongside these personal memories are responses to loss, violence and the search for belonging. The accounts accompanying the works are part of that record, preserving what prompted each painting in the artist’s own words.
